Life's a Beach

I loves me a nice fall day like today. (I can wear jeans! And a long sleeved shirt!) But our trip to York Beach in Maine was wonderful. Here, have some photos.

Hi Jayne's Mum!

Thanks! It was a great vacation and the boys loved the beach.

GREAT PICTURES, Lois! Looks like a wicked fun trip. Didja get the salt-water taffy and whatnot?!

Sparkle!
Have to say, we're not really salt water taffy fans--although did watch it being made, which is kinda neat. Did sample lots of candy and infrastructure though.

Lois! Salt water taffy DOES go in the "iffy" Halloween candy pile. But, I know that candy store 'round there where you can watch 'em make it is a kid magnet and hypnotizer!

Mmmm. Candy and infrastructure. Why WON'T they think outside of the box and move that stuff into one of the bigger layers of the food pyramid? Feh. (Not that it's holding me back.)

Oh yeah. We stood outside and watched them pull taffy for a while. It was neat. Then I went inside and bought fudge.

Fudge is a food group, right?

My fair food goodies!

Yeah Lois!

I feel like I was there. I have never been there, it looks like great fun.

Ishat! York Beach is great for kids. We hung out on Short Sands Beach, which even has an arcade and bowling alley next to it. And there's a zoo and amusement park (more pics TK) right there too.

I will have to put it on the list of places to take the wee ones next year. Or a nice day on a weekend this. I love off season time for beaches.
