What’s Wrong With Lois?

I’ve been sick off and on for about three weeks. Have I been to the doctor? Of course not.

I do plan on visiting a member of the medical community later this week, after I get a big work project done. Or, after I pass out and whoever finds my body slumped over this computer calls 911. Whichever comes first.

In the meantime, let’s have fun with self diagnosis!

Does Lois have:

a. A bad cold?

b. The flu?

c. Pneumonia?

d. A sinus infection?

e. Scurvy?

f. Rickets?

g. A bad case of lovin’ you?

h. The plague?

i. Avian Bone Syndrome?

j. Or something else entirely…..

All of the above?

Pac Man Fever?

This is why I'm not a doctor.

I sense a bad case of...DISCO FEVER!!!

Quick, someone get her into something that's not made of polyester. And for god's sake, turn off that music...

(Feel better!)

Dear Sickness,

'Leave Lois Alone! She's a human being!'

I believe it is pudding withdrawal. Either that or the crumbling infrastructure. Or lead paint off the toys from China? Or chronic ennui. Or a gypsy curse? Wait: Maybe it's a weird new offshoot of your hysterical blindness? (Pet theory: Mono, walking pneumonia--and the boogie woogie blues, or bronchitis. GO TO THE DOCTOR NOW! It's already later this week!!! EFF work! Okay, I've stopped being pushy now. It's so unsightly to do that in public.)

We haven't heard from Lois in a while so she's either at the doctor's office now, or The Summer Time Blues have completely over taken her.

I was indeed at the doctor's office.

And the winner is...

Bronchitis AND a sinus infection!

It's fun to be me. The doctor informed me that all those things I had been trying separately (Sudafed, Mucinex, Afrin, etc...) I now have to use at the same time, in addition to about three other mediciations, two nasal sprays, an inhaler and antibiotics.

On the upside, he said nothing about not being able to mix them with whisky and pudding.

I say get ripped on whisky infused pudding. That'll cure what ails ya.

VERY sage advice by Sir Breakfast Meat. Y'know, it's always nice to have a name for the misery. The antibiotics will kick this stuff's butt lickety-split and inhalers really help. Didja get tessalon perls? I hadda take those when I had bronchitis. NO idea what they are, but they do sound divinely Doctor Whoey. Feel better!

Sparke: Tessalon perls? Goodness, I think that's the one thing I won't be taking over the next few days. But it does sound Doctor Who-ey, so I definitely want some. Maybe as a garnish for the pudding...

Did you really just say 'goodness'?

Who the heck says goodness??

You must be sick. Or something.

Goodness!

Hope all the various drugs work wonders...and I also support the whisky/pudding prescription, too. If it works anything like the chocolate/Advil/red wine prescription I took the other day, it'll work BRILLIANTLY!

Is Lois back among the living? Oh good just in time for Sparkles bithday extravaganza tonight.

Goodness gracious me, I hope you feel a bit better today. You have to, because it is Sparkles birthday and there may be extra pudding involved. I'll knit you a scarf with daleks on because it's getting chilly.

Whisky and antibiotics is always a good combination. You'll be needing a hip flask. With the word 'Goodness' engraved on it.
