Holiday Leftovers

After much thought and too much turkey, here are the top three things I'm thankful for today.

1. Healthy Kids. Dan-El had minor surgery yesterday--ear tubes--and came through with flying colors.

2. Sprinkle cookies. Jak-El and I whipped up a batch of these over the weekend. They're made of basically flour, sugar and butter--lots of butter. They taste like butter rolled in sprinkles. They are the best thing ever.

3. Italian Spider-Man. Action! Romance! What more could you want?

ALRUGO! LOVE IT, Lois!

Those ear tube thingies are supposed to be wicked good at taking care of persistent ear infections, aren't they? COOL! Ear infections are dreadful when you're wee.

Awright. Where are my virtual cookies? I'm hungry for sprinkle butter.

Glad the wee Lois Boy is okay.

And hand over the damn cookies or I'm sending the Chupacabra over to your place.

1. My nieces had ear tubes!
2. Are they "Chupacabra" cookies? Next week is Chupacabra week!
3. When I was in Italy last year I saw the movie "Underworld 2" in Italian with no subtitles. I don't speak Italian. Sometimes you just have to let art flow over you.

I have no idea what ear tubes are... however I'm glad your son is ok.

The cookies sound delicious... Mmm... cookies.

Hi Clinky! I saw part of "Underworld 2" on cable this weekend....I think it might have been better in Italian.

Hi Jayne! They're little tubes that are inserted into the ear canal. They help drain out fluid -- kids who have chronic ear infections (like both my boys) usually get them. Incredibly quick procedure -- we were only at the hospital for about 90 minutes total. And the hearing improvement --at least in Jak-El's case -- is amazing. We're hoping the same for Dan-El.

Hi Sparkle! Virtual cookies are next to the bottles of virtual infrastructure. Help yourself!

Hi Cake! Put the dang Chupacabra back on it's leash! I think it's trying to mate with one of the kids' stuffed animals.

Thank you in advance for bringing me cookies.

They're good for my ear tubes.
